Hay gente que no puedo ver la verdad enfrete de sus narices.

Es una verdad raquete triste.

Es una verdad no puede existar es tan triste.

La mariposa se murio, y se marchito. Se levanto su bastidores y me lacrimo por su animo.

There is a disease in this world, and today I mourn that it has claimed one close to my heart, a dear friend. A man so open-hearted and charismatic that you couldn't help but love him. A man so artistic and creative that it boggled the mind. A man so skilled at fixing things that it was impossible to believe. (Once I saw him resurrect a stereo from the dead. It was nothing short of a miracle.) A man that people the world over should have looked up to and admired, a man who held respect and gave it, who was patient and understanding, kind, and beautiful. A man who had barely gotten to taste life outside of boyhood.

But a disease consumed him so slowly that his closest loved ones didn't even realize until he was already dead. Today I attended his funeral, and cried next to dozens of others, sat in the pew, listened to hymns that called out to a god he didn't believe in, but still found room in his heart for. His casket was open, but I couldn't bring myself to look. The face I would have seen isn't the one he would have wanted me to remember.

I think he knows that we were all there for him, sending love with all of our might. On the stillest of summer days days, a warm breeze rose up and caressed the gathering ever so gently.

And then I heard a soft chuckling in my ear as my *skirt* fluttered in the wind. I had to laugh back, because it was the skirt he bought for me last April Fools, as a prank. It's a pretty skirt, though, he had good tastes.

(Yeah, I wore a skirt. I thought that would amuse him. It sure as hell amused the rest of my friends, though. They've been harassing me with cameras ever since.)

Today, mourn with me the dimming of a bright star. Shed tears for the parting of a truly beautiful and noble soul. With any luck, the world will see him again. He gave a lot to our community, and I know he could have done real wonders if only he'd had more time.
